Protein shakes containing artificial hormones or steroids in them or any negative effects to your body?

I have taken the following shakes in the past.
I also lift weights.

ProV60 by labrada nutrtion
Musclemilk by cytosport
100% gold whey standard whey protein

I am currently taking Isopure zero carb protein.

Do any of these have anything in them that is not listed in the nutritonal facts or ingredients that are ahrmful or degrading to your body.

Could these types of products cause your body to rely on them and if you stopped taking them you wont gain as much muscle naturally as if to you were to not have taken any protein supplements and ate natural foods?

I have also noticed that i got a lot of acne during the use of musclemilk and i have had bad acne ever since i took it. I have been off of it for 2 months and i am now on the Isopure and i still have sorta bad acne.

I'm 16 and i don't know if it was just a coincidence i developed bad acne becuz of my age and i took the musclemilk right around when my acne would flare up, or maybe it was the musclemilk?

Wow, Mr. Matt, there are so many aspects to your question. On the acne.... There may very well be something in one of the products you've been using that will cause the outbreaks.. For me it was dairy products.... On the other hand teenagers and young adults may have hormonal spikes/shifts etc. that cause acne... If I were in your shoes I'd pack up everything in the "body building" aresenal that you have and haul it to either your doctor or a pharmacist and have the go over everything.... You certainly do not want to be putting hormones or steroids into your body. Keep it natural and healthy... and ask a medically knowlegeable person. While you are waiting for an appt. you might also take everything to a really good health food store and have them explain any ingredient on the label you don't understand. That's not the place to stop your search but a good place to start while waiting for an appt.
